Ten pack of 3/8'' male brass flare plugs by JB Industries (P2-6).
Tube size is listed as OD (outer-diameter) - to determine nominal size subtract 1/8''. JB recommends the use of compatible thread sealant and tightening 2-1/2 turns past hand tight.
Maximum Strength JB uses the highest level of brass consisting of 65% copper and 35% which means high-tensile strength while resisting corrosion. The forging process of fittings maximize strength and eliminate cracking. Many import fittings use less quality brass with lower copper content and as a result have a much higher failure rate. Vacuum pressures of 5,000 psi can be handled depending on the size, materials, and conditions. Long dryseal pipe threads minimize leakage and provide more clearance for tightening flare nuts.
Flexibility JB brass fittings can be used with copper, brass, aluminum, steel, and plastic tubes providing an acceptable flare can be generated with the material. JB's heavy-duty ACR tube fittings generally conform to SAE, ASA and ARI standards for marine, hydraulic, and refrigeration service. Tube fittings are make and break, have good vibration resistance, economical and are easy to assemble. JB will provide flare fitting to SAE standard J513 whenever possible.
Made in the USA JB Industries machines all brass fittings at their factory in Aurora, Illinois.
