IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Charge this replacement battery immediately after purchase, after every use and every 30 days.
• Working in the vicinity of a lead-acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gases during normal battery operation. For this reason, it is of utmost importance that you follow the instructions each time you charge, use, connect or disconnect the battery.
• Make sure the battery properly fits into the jump box. Never modify the electrical system or force the battery to fit, as modifications could cause a fire or electric shock and result in property damage or personal injury.
• Do not use the battery if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped or otherwise damaged in any way.
• Do not use the battery if it shows cracks or signs of swelling. Replace it immediately.
• Do not use and/or store the battery in or on any surface where damage could occur if it unexpectedly leaks acid.
• Do not immerse the battery in water; wipe it clean with a damp cloth only after disconnecting it from the vehicle or charger.
• Do not short-circuit the battery.
• NEVER smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of the battery.
• Do not permit the battery to freeze. NEVER charge a frozen battery. Do not store the battery in freezing or below freezing temperatures. Freezing temperatures will permanently damage the battery.
• Make sure the area around the battery is well ventilated while the battery is being charged.
• Monitor the battery periodically during the charging process.
• Remove personal metal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and watches when working with a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short circuit current high enough to weld a ring or the like to metal, causing a severe burn.
• If battery acid enters your eye, immediately flood the eye with cold running water for at least 10 minutes and get medical attention right away.Pursuant to California Proposition 65, this product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
